The Ballet is a New York based "sissy pop band" formed in 2005 by Greg Goldberg, Craig Willse, Ginger Brooks Takahashi and Marina Miranda.  A year later, Michael O'Neill joined the band as the drummer, replacing the drum machine. After many shows in NYC and a brief tour in Canada, the band went on hiatus through most of 2008. In this time Ginger and Michael left the band to form Hirsute. The Ballet went on to release 2 subsequent records, Bear Life and Blame Society.
