In the Spring of 2001, Hampshire College hosted a campus-wide Battle of the Bands. Michael O'Neill and Alexis Gideon entered the contest under the name "Battle of the Bands". Within our 30 minutes, we performed as 5 different acts: Kiwi Smoothie, Goner, The Alabamee, Sonical Foundation and DJ Skribble Skrabble. We used a backing track of our own Battle of the Bands host, Johnny Johnson to introduce the bands as we changed costumes. We won third place.
